10 May 2019 -  The issue of abductions by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a critical and highly pressing issue concerning the sovereignty of Japan and the lives and safety of Japanese citizens. While it ultimately needs to be resolved under the responsibility of the Government of Japan, it is essential to gain wide support and cooperation from the international community. In this symposium, we invite you to listen to the voices of abductees’ families and other affected families from Japan, U.S. and Thailand, followed by discussions by experts on the possible ways of international cooperation towards the comprehensive resolution of the outstanding issues of concern such as the abductions, nuclear and missile issues.
