Addressing child labour in Cambodia’s fisheries sector
9 Jun 2021 -  In 2021, which marks the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour, FAO is strongly reaffirming its commitment to end child labour in the agricultural sector.
In Cambodia, many families living on the Tonle Sap Lake are extremely poor and have to use their children as workforce to survive. Youth aged 15-17 are a vulnerable group. FAO is working with the Government to make sure existing policies and capacity building programmes address child labour.
