Plenary session II

The 2016 UN Forum on Business and Human Rights addresses key human rights challenges around the globe where greater State and business leadership and leverage urgently need to be applied.

The plenary session on 15 November will offer leadership perspectives and inspiration on some of the Forum’s overall key messages, including the need for:

1.States to “lead by example” and step up action to protect human rights in business contexts.
2. All business enterprises that make up the value chain and all relevant company functions to exercise leadership and leverage to embed respect for human rights in business activities.
3.Increased efforts to improve access to remedy for victims of human rights abuses and to protect those in particularly vulnerable situations.
