24 Oct 2016 -  A lecture on the theme: "Understanding and preventing mood disorders" by Manpreet K. Singh, MD, MS, an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Director of the Pediatric Mood Disorders Program and the Pediatric Emotion And Resilience Lab (PEARL) at Stanford.
Dr. Singh leads an integrated multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, fellows, postdocs, residents, medical students, research coordinators, and data analysts who are dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of youth who experience a spectrum of mood disorders along a developmental continuum. Her research focuses on investigating the origins and pathways toward developing mood disorders in childhood, as well as methods to protect and preserve function after mood symptoms begin. She currently receives research support from the National Institute of Mental Health and Stanford’s Child Health Research Institute to investigate these central questions.
