6 May 2017 -  eL Seed, laureate of the 14th edition of the UNESCO Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture, uses a mixture of Arabic calligraphy and graffiti to disseminate messages of peace and beauty. Through his creations and use of public space, Mr Seed has succeeded in creating a dialogue with spectators as well as challenging the stereotypes of Arab culture. He is in Baku, Azerbaijan to sit on a panel debating the contribution of contemporary Arab artistic creations to intercultural dialogue. At the request of UN News, he makes on of his creations on the spot with the message: "Open your heart"
