The President invited the representatives of Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Hungary, India, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Romania, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Uzbekistan and Viet Nam to participate in the meeting in accordance with rule 37 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure.

The President invited the following individuals to participate in the meeting in accordance with rule 39 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure: Ms. Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs; Mr. Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme; Mr. Pavel Kabat, Chief Scientist, World Meteorological Organization; and Ms. Lindsay Getschel, Research Assistant, Environmental Security Program at the Stimson Center.
