28 Sep 2011 -  Civil society side event on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the adoption of Security Council resolution 1373 (2001) and the establishment of the Counter-Terrorism Committee (organized by the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation and sponsored by the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED)).

The event will provide an opportunity for civil society participants to contribute to the commemoration and discuss with members of the CTC, UN experts, and representatives of international, regional, and subregional organizations progress and challenges in implementing resolution 1373 (2001) and the way forward. Special attention will be given to the role and contributions of civil society and how cooperation between civil society and the UN can be improved.
