When will women win equality? – SDG Media Zone, High-Level Week, 75th session of the UN General Assembly (23 September 2020)
23 Sep 2020 -  Twenty-five years ago, the world witnessed the adoption of the most progressive blueprint for women’s rights at a landmark conference in Beijing. Yet, in less than a year, the COVID-19 pandemic has threatened years of progress.

Guests include Executive Director of UN Women Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka; UN SDG Advocate and Actress Dia Mirza; UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi; and UNHCR's High Profile Supporter Mary Maker.

Since 2016, the SDG Media Zone has been one of the main features of the UN General Assembly high-level week, bringing together UN Member States, content creators, influencers, activists and media partners to highlight actions and solutions in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. Organized by the UN Department of Global Communications, in collaboration with the PVBLIC Foundation, the SDG Media Zone takes the conversation on advancing the 2030 Agenda out of the policy sphere and into the public discourse through impactful in-depth interviews and panel discussions.
