Women's Participation in the Workforce: An Unresolved Challenge
5 Sep 2019 -  In order to convey a broad and comprehensive look at women's participation in the labor foce in Latin America and the Caribbean, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the International Organization of Work (ILO) will be launching three research notebooks on the subject during the event entitled “The labor participation of women, a pending challenge.” The event will feature Mr. Luis Felipe López Calva, UNDP Regional Director for America Latin America and the Caribbean as a leading speaker with Ms. Claudia Piras, Lead Economist in Social Development of the Inter-American Development Bank, Washington, DC and Mr. Hugo Ñopo, Chief Economist of ILO for Latin America and the Caribbean as panelists of the event.
