2 Oct 2017 -  High-level meeting on “Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals for Children: Collective Actions and Innovative Solutions” (on the occasion of the International Day of Non-Violence (A/RES/61/271)) (co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Sweden and the World Childhood Foundation, in collaboration with Know Violence in Childhood)

The World Childhood Foundation (WCF), founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, together with the Swedish Mission to the UN, and in partnership with Know Violence in Childhood will convene an exceptional group of world leaders to spur governments, academia, civil society and the private sector to join forces to scale up investments in solutions that target the well-being of children.
They discussed how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide opportunity to focus on the world’s most vulnerable, children. Government representatives (including Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, United Kingdom and South Africa), United Nations agencies, the private sector (including the CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Kurt Eckert), ICT executives, artists, scientists and practitioners will present.
