Joyati Das, Collaboration and Innovation to Address Urban Poverty: Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum
16 Jun 2012 -  This session tackles the challenge of urban poverty, one of the most pressing issues of this century. It draws on diverse perspectives and successful initiatives of: World Vision, a leading international development agency, and their work in La Paz, Bolivia; the Chocolatào Sustainability Network in slum redevelopment in Porto Alegre, Brazil ; and the Mega-Cities strategy and longitudinal study of Rio's favelas by Dr. Janice Perlman. The session will examine cross-sectoral strategies and the role of business sector engagement.
