(Part 2) Geospatial Solutions for Sustainable Development - Discovery Day
6 Dec 2017 -  The aim of the second "Discovery Day" is to bring together geospatial solutions that can speed and shift the sustainable development in multiple sectors such as: damage assessment, disaster risk reduction, early warning, social protection, infrastructure and rehabilitation, deforestation, land use, water monitoring, carbon footprint, climate change, mining sector, projects formulation, Natural Bio Diversity, M&E, planning, communication, coordination, and policy support.
Presenters from different space agencies, private sector, educational institutes and involved UN entities, will present their efforts and support to the U.N. in achieving the SDGs. Possible presenters will include NASA, ESA, DigitalGlobe, Airbus, Planet, Esri, Google and others, as well as a number of UN entities with existing geospatial capabilities.
