Urban Data for the New Urban Agenda - World Urban Forum 7
9 Apr 2014 -  This session sought to develop the conceptual, analytical and institutional frameworks for monitoring the New Urban Agenda.

This session was centred on the notion that access to data and evidence-based information as well as knowledge on urban development is the foundation which city authorities, citizens and various stakeholders need for smart decisions. Citizens can develop relevant, insightful and effective strategies, policies and legislation, which can feed into a New Urban Agenda.

The session also discussed the roles of global, national and local observatories in the collection and monitoring of data of the New Urban Agenda and the dissemination of this information.
