"Climate Change and Population Movements"
Effects of climate change including sudden onset disasters or slow onset environmental degradation are becoming an important cause of displacement. Present international law provides protection for affected persons to a considerable degree if they remain within their own country as internally displaced persons but fails to address the needs of those displaced across an international border.
