UN agricultural development chief: "What feeds people is action on the ground"

Nwanze, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Mr. Nwanze was speaking in an interview with the UN News Centre ahead of the International Day of Rural Women, on 15 October, and the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, marked on 17 October. According to the IFAD President, the world needs to invest in the rural poor, as well as transform small-holder agriculture beyond mere means of subsistence.
