UN urges donors to step up support for refugees fleeing South Sudan
15 May 2017 - The South Sudan crisis has forced nearly 1.8 million people to flee their homes. Women and children are bearing the brunt of the conflict. The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the World Food Programme (WFP) urge donors to provide the $1.4 billion needed to assist South Sudanese refugees in six neighbouring countries until the end of 2017.
