Child Protection at the core of the UN Police mandate
20 Jun 2019 -  Conflicts disproportionately affect children. Many are subject to abductions, military recruitment, killing, maiming, and numerous forms of exploitation children.
The presence of UN police officers on the ground provides a unique chance to increase the protection of children both directly and indirectly.
This video tells the story of a boy in Central African Republic who has been freed from an armed group and has been supported by UN Police and the Child Protection Unit in MINUSCA to start a new life.
