Senegal: Sowing The Seeds
1 Oct 2012 -  Whenever global food prices rise, developing countries that import food, like Senegal, are hit the hardest. Two years ago, the European Union and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), set up a program to train farmers to grow more and better seeds. Not only has seed production increased, there has also been a significant change in the role these farmers play in enhancing the country's food security.
