Syrian Conflict Takes a Toll
23 Apr 2016 -  Thousands of women and children are now at Greece’s northern border with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, some waiting for weeks, hoping to be allowed northwards. Life in the makeshift Idomeni camp is a daily struggle, and is home to an estimated 4,000 children, with doctors warning conditions in the camp are becoming dangerous for them. With a renewed sense of urgency, UNHCR is stressing the importance of relocating refugees to safer areas.
