24 Sep 2018 -  Can the global community break the chain between conflict, gender-based sexual violence, ill-health and HIV? In the face of protracted crises of increasingly frequency and scope across Africa, the global community is stepping up collaborative action and setting the stage for intensified collective effort to meet the pressing and urgent needs of the current situation. There is evidence of success in preventing sexual violence in conflict settings and bringing perpetrators of violence to justice and safeguarding access for survivors to life-saving health and social services. Organized in collaboration with the African Union, UNAIDS and the H6 Partnership, this high-level interactive panel will highlight country experiences shared by Heads of States, Civil Society Representatives and Key Stakeholders.
