Head of UN Mission in Côte d’Ivoire hails peacekeepers as mission winds down
15 Feb 2017 -  As the UN peacekeepers exited Côte d’Ivoire on 15 February 2017, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of the UN Mission in the country, Aïchatou Mindaoudou has hailed them, saying the blue helmets demonstrated "a great sense of professionalism and commitment" to bringing peace and stability to the country. In an interview with UN News, she also noted that “nothing was possible” for peace and stability to prevail without the commitment from the people of Côte d’Ivoire.
