Outgoing UN Youth Envoy: Working with young people, for interests that transcend youth
10 Feb 2017 -  After nearly four years in a senior UN role, outgoing Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth Ahmad Alhendawi has reiterated the need for the world to work with young people. Working with young people, Mr. Alhendawi noted in an interview with UN News before the end of his tenure on 13 February, is important "not only for young people," but for the world's shared destiny and challenges. The UN Youth Envoy - who took up the role at the age of 27 - emphasized the potential and capacity of youth, while calling on the world to fully leverage "this asset," through further empowering and connecting the young people.
