(Part 2) Investments and Partnerships for the Global Goals
19 Sep 2018 -  The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a roadmap to solve our common sustainability challenges and the seventeenth SDG is Partnerships for the Goals. The (SDGs) can only be realized with a strong commitment to global partnership and cooperation. The importance of investment and private sector engagement in accelerating the achievement of the SDGs is especially crucial if we are to realize the SDGs in 2030. Impact investment, for example, is fast becoming the strongest driver in mobilizing private sector engagement in contributing to the achievement of the SDGs. Presented alongside the Opening of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly and in celebration of the Global Goals Week 2018, the conference goal is to produce actionable solutions to important global issues, anchored around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A very crucial component is incorporating fresh approach and diverse perspectives from the new players in the global economy – and from the new cadre of young global leaders who are changing the world.

Topics for discussion include impact investment, technology, women’s economic and political power, peace, urbanization, education and inclusion. The conference will convene business leaders, policy makers, global entrepreneurs, technology influencers, civil society leaders, visionaries, decision makers and investors from family offices worldwide.
