UN Web TV "Add Your Voice" series - The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) conducted a joint security operation with the Haitian National Police (HNP) in two troubled areas of the country's capital Port au Prince this Monday.

The operation was organized due to an increase in the number of criminal incidents in the last month.

One hundred blue helmets, fifty UN Police officers and MINUSTAH's Formed Police Unit (FPU) as well as one hundred HNP officers participated in the operation which took place from 7 to 10 a.m.

MINUSTAH and the HNP were showing their presence in these notorious areas through checkpoints and foot patrols.
