24 Oct 2012 -

UN Web TV "Add Your Voice" series - UN Day was celebrated this October 24th all over the world, including in the United Nations newest member states.

In Juba, South Sudan, a ceremony celebrating UN Day paid tribute to blue helmets and the organization's staff working on the field.

In Cetinje, Montenegro, local authorities, private partners and UN staff marked UN Day by establishing a "United Nations Park" in the Old Royal Capitol of Cetinje, town of unique historic, diplomatic and cultural value.

Each of the 67 planted trees symbolized one year of UN's existence. One more tree will be added every year, so the park symbolically continues to grow together with the UN.
