"Good For The Earth - Good for the People" - The Library Study Hall Sustainable Fashion Summit at the United Nations
1 Feb 2019 -  The half day event gathers industry experts, designers, scientists, and UN representatives to inspire collaborations to advance the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and move the needle toward a sustainable future in fashion.
The event will be structured around the following three themes: Circular Fashion, Sustainability, and Innovation. Through these discussions, the Sustainable Fashion Summit aims to
Provide a platform to highlight success stories related to fashion, sustainability, innovation, and social justice;
Share SDG-related knowledge tools and platforms;
Map out opportunities for action and collaboration for civil society and industry leaders and mobilize new connections and partnerships related to sustainable fashion.
The Library and the UN Office for Partnerships will host The Library Study Hall Sustainable Fashion Summit, to be held in collaboration with Parsons, Fashion Revolution and Conscious Fashion Campaign.
“The Library” is a non-profit initiative that aims to help propel the fashion industry towards adopting a Sustainable Standard. Using a three-pillared business model, The Library creates collaborations that are good for people and good for the environment through: events and conferences, and by allowing brands to access The Library of ethically produced and eco-friendly fabrics.
