Addressing inequalities in the SDGs: A human rights imperative for effective poverty eradication
This event reflects on the causes, costs and consequences of rising economic, social, and environmental inequalities, and considers concrete ways in which the SDGs can dismantle discrimination and address inequalities - including gender inequalities and inequities in global governance.

It explores how the SDGs can be fully aligned with the Rio+20 commitments and the commitments of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to create a “social and international order” which ensures that “all human beings are free and equal in dignity and rights”.
