Addressing inequalities in the SDGs: A human rights imperative for effective poverty eradication
4 Feb 2014 -  This event reflects on the causes, costs and consequences of rising economic, social, and environmental inequalities, and considers concrete ways in which the SDGs can dismantle discrimination and address inequalities - including gender inequalities and inequities in global governance.

It explores how the SDGs can be fully aligned with the Rio+20 commitments and the commitments of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to create a “social and international order” which ensures that “all human beings are free and equal in dignity and rights”.
