19 Apr 2017 -  Land-based and marine pollution is contaminating our coasts and oceans, and these pollutants could even seep into our seafood.
These contaminants may include harmful substances such as the toxic heavy metal mercury, as well as pesticides and industrial chemicals.
The research conducted at the IAEA’s Environment Laboratories in Monaco studies how contaminants move from land to the ocean and then onto our plate.
