High-level Africa regional consultation co-hosted by the High-Level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity for Achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Economic Commission for Africa
18 Nov 2020 -  In the high-level regional consultation, the Panel would like to hear from the region’s leaders on their preferred means to address the shortcomings in the existing frameworks.
The aim is to help develop political consensus on joint actions by the international community to promote financial accountability, transparency and integrity across all three areas of the Panel’s work: cooperation in tax matters; accountability, public reporting and anti-corruption; and international cooperation and settling disputes. The inputs will feed into the FACTI Panel’s determination of technically feasible and politically viable recommendations to be made in its final report, which will be published in February 2021.
