Holocaust remembrance: UN chief expresses "extreme" concern over rising intolerance
27 Jan 2017 -  United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today paid tribute to the victims of the genocide perpetrated by the Nazi, as the world body marked the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. Addressing members of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Guterres said he was “extremely concerned at the discrimination faced by minorities, refugees and migrants across the world.” The Secretary-General also expressed concern that a “new normal” of public disclosure is taking hold, in which "prejudice is given a free pass and the door is opened to even more extreme hatred.”
