Japan donates more than 2.6 million US$ to fight Cholera in Haiti
22 Feb 2017 -  Japan has donated US$ 2,615,112 to UNICEF Haiti - a major boost to its 'Project for Reinforcement of Cholera Prevention and Response'. "This money will help us work very closely with the Haitian government and our partner NGOs to implement our medium-term plan to eliminate Cholera," said Marc Vincent, UNICEF representative in Haiti during a signing ceremony. The UNICEF project focuses on strengthening rapid response teams, coordinating them at a national level, and developing communication strategies with the population.
