Making rights a reality for All: Participatory monitoring and social accountability - Panel discussion
Making Rights a Reality for All: An interactive Discussion on Participatory Monitoring and Social Accountability.
The purpose of this side event is to present the final results of the Participatory Monitoring and Accountability Consultation co-facilitated by UNICEF, UN Women and UNDP and sponsored by the Governments of Canada, Peru and Republic of Korea. Panellists and the audience will engage in an interactive discussion on examples of good practice at the country level. They will also discuss a draft of a proposed outcome document to be finalized and endorsed at a high-level meeting set to take place in Peru in March 2015. This outcome document will be fed into continued negotiations on the Post-2015 Agenda.
Co-organized by the Permanent Missions of Canada, Peru and the Republic of Korea; in collaboration with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank.
