Mali: Reversing the Exodus
19 Sep 2012 -  In Mali’s rural areas, most young people leave their villages to find work in the cities. This is known as “the exodus” which has a devastating effect on the social fabric of remote areas. The elderly and young children remain behind, struggling to produce enough food. But now a new government project, supported by the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development or IFAD is creating employment opportunities.
