1st meeting: Opening and Scene setting: How far have we come on the SDGs?
The 2018 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will be held from Monday, 9 July, to Wednesday, 18 July 2018, with the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from 16 July to 18 July.
This year’s theme is “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies.”
The HLPF is the essential global forum for reviewing successes, challenges and lessons learned on achieving the SDGs. Forty-seven countries are expected to present their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) at this year’s Forum. In addition to the VNRs, a set of the SDGs will be under review: Goals 6,7,11,12,15, and Goal 17 which will be reviewed every year.
