(Part 2) Tracking Hatred: An International Dialogue on HATE SPEECH in the media
2 Dec 2015 -  This event serves as a platform for dialogue on Hate Speech and the sharing of best practices for global representatives of leading media organizations, online social networking services, journalists, government officials, academics, representatives of United Nations entities and NGOs.
Participants will examine the different measures that have been taken globally to curb Hate Speech, and discuss their limitations.
They will explore the reasons why Hate Speech remains a pervasive element that contributes to violent extremism, and the link between Hate Speech and the treatment of migrants. They will also look at the root causes of Hate Speech, the impact of structural inequalities and the stigmatization of certain groups in society.
