Somaliland: Changing the Odds
4 Mar 2014 -  For many in the horn of Africa, the constant threat of war and drought leaves nothing certain. Losing a flock of sheep can mean the end of a whole way of life -- and rural women are especially at risk. In Somaliland, a self-declared autonomous state in northern Somalia, a project financed by the United Nations Democracy Fund, UNDEF, is helping rural women change their odds for survival.
