World TV Day 2018: Lights, Camera and Action on the SDGs - The power of storytelling to create change
19 Nov 2018 -  In recognition of the impact content distributed on television, and now online, has on decision-making by bringing world attention to a broad range of social, economic, environmental and political issues, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 November as World Television Day (through resolution 51/205 of 17 December 1996).
World Television Day, World TV Day 2018: Lights, Camera and Action on the SDGs, will feature a DAVOS-style discussion showcasing television productions used to promote the Sustainable Development Goals either explicitly or implicitly through demonstrative storytelling. In addition, TV productions, panelists and industry professionals (actors, producers and writers) in the audience will make concrete commitments to support the SDGs.
