The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. The twelfth session will take place in Cairo, Egypt, 4 - 8 November 2024.
The World Urban Forum is the world's biggest urban gathering, and the stakeholder assemblies that are integral to the Forum are an opportunity for different urban actors to convene, caucus and develop convergent positions on the challenges facing our people, planet and communities. The Joint opening of the five Assemblies - Local and Regional Governments, Children & Youth, Women, Grassroots, and the Business and Foundations Assembly - brings together speakers that will present key priorities for each of the five assemblies, with host country representatives and the UN-Habitat leadership. It is an important moment of dialogue, reflection, and recommitment to a multi-stakeholder, multilevel governance and holistic approach towards achieving sustainable urbanization that leaves no one and no place behind.
