Youth Digital Collaboration for a Sustainable…

This event will take place on 5 February 2026 in the ECOSOC Chamber at United Nations Headquarters in New York. The event is sponsored by the Permanent Missions of the Republic of Korea, the Portuguese Republic, the Republic of Senegal, and the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations, and co-organized by the IVECA Center for International Virtual Schooling and the Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC), in collaboration with UN Academic Impact, the UN Office for Partnerships, CoNGO, and academic partners.
Aligned with the Pact for the Future, the Global Digital Compact, and UNESCO's education frameworks, the event highlights how youth-driven digital collaboration and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) can translate global commitments into practical action. It contributes to the priorities of the 2026 High-Level Political Forum, with a focus on SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, and 17.
The programme features secondary and university students from multiple regions presenting collaborative projects developed through virtual exchange, intercultural dialogue, and mentorship. Their initiatives address clean water and energy, resilient infrastructure, digital innovation, ecosystem protection, and inclusive urban development, demonstrating the potential of digitally connected learning to foster equitable, youth-led solutions.
The event also convenes Member States, United Nations officials, educators, civil society leaders, and private-sector partners for an expert dialogue on partnerships for digital inclusion and sustainable development. By bringing together multiple stakeholders, the event highlights how digital learning, intercultural dialogue, and partnerships can accelerate progress toward the 2030 Agenda and strengthen inclusive, resilient, and sustainable societies.
