Description

The concert is organized in partnership with the United States Military Academy at West Point and will feature the West Point Band and the West Point Cadet Glee Club. The concert celebrates the contributions of Black composers and musicians and honors the progress the nation has made toward equal rights as well as its commitment to continue this vital work.  The works selected communicate unity, diversity, and, above all hope and range from living composers, honors Black-Latinx contributions, and celebrates the world-wide popularity of music from Motown.  The concert concludes with a rendition of Lift Every Voice and Sing.
