In decision79/571 of 2 September 2025, the General Assembly decided, inter alia, to establish an Informal Ad Hoc Working Group of the General Assembly to consider, in its scope, the proposals contained in the report of the Secretary-General and to identify principles and follow-up actions in order to improve the creation, delivery and review of mandates.
In resolution 80/251 of 31 March 2026 decided to continue the work of the informal ad hoc working group on mandate implementation review as the Ad Hoc Working Group on Mandate Implementation Review (the Working Group).
