Towards a socially-local Just Transition to address…

This session will explore the critical links between a Socially-Just Transition and Loss & Damage from the perspective of local and regional governments. As frontline actors in addressing climate impacts, LRGs are key in ensuring vulnerable communities are supported through fair transitions. The discussion continues the 2015 ILO paper on Just Transitions, highlighting the importance of social justice, decent jobs, and inclusive policies to address climate-induced loss and damage locally.
