The President of the General Assembly will convene the first International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) from 17-20 May 2022. The Forum serves as the primary intergovernmental global platform for Member States to assess and deliberate on implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, including as it relates to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The President of the General Assembly will organize and preside over a one-day informal interactive multistakeholder hearing on 16 May 2022. The President of the General Assembly will also invite a representative of civil society to present a summary of the hearing during the opening segment of the IMRF.
The Forum will consist of four interactive multi-stakeholder roundtables during the first day and the morning of the second day. This will be followed by a policy debate in the afternoon of the second day. The plenary will take place on the third and fourth days. The Forum will be preceded by a one-day, informal, interactive, multi-stakeholder hearing on the 16th of May.
