The Ethical Challenges of AI: Humanistic and Religious Responses to the Demands of Artificial Intelligence
The Sovereign Order of Malta's Permanent Observer Mission to the UN, in partnership with the Holy See Mission to the United Nations and the Missions of San Marino and Monaco and a group of international academic institutions, is convening a panel of experts to address questions regarding the ethical boundaries of AI. The meeting will focus on finding common ground between secular humanistic ethicists and their counterparts in the religious sphere, the objective being to provide a more comprehensive view of morality and AI which can inform secular oriented and faith-based societies alike. This event will feature a Moderator and two keynote speakers followed by a panel of experts representing both humanistic and religious traditions. Following presentations by Keynote Speakers and Panelists, the Moderator will invite the audience to participate in an open discussion.
