In his recent report presented to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism has highlighted a number of human rights concerns posed by legal frameworks and practices of regional organizations engaged in counterterrorism.
