(4th meeting) - UNICEF and WFP Global impact evaluation forum 2024
The 2024 Forum will tackle the questions 'How can impact evaluation help demonstrate the difference we are making in people's lives in fragile contexts?' and 'What current interventions and potential solutions in those contexts warrant rigorous assessment through impact evaluation?' Participants will have the opportunity to showcase impact evidence from climate-prone and poly-crises environments, learn from each other's experiences, and identify concrete areas of potential collaboration on impact evaluation. The event will amplify existing capacity with sessions on the latest methodological and practical innovations and invest in strengthening connections between evidence generators and users.
Objectives
In keeping with the background and broad goals described above, the threefold objectives of the 2024 Forum will be to promote, innovate and connect.
- PROMOTE: Stimulate, and where appropriate join up, work on rigorous impact evaluation among participants, their governments or non-governmental actors and organizations.
- INNOVATE: Foster innovation, exchange and excellence for impact evaluation in fragile and multi-crisis settings.
- CONNECT: Bridge the gap between rigorous evidence generation and policy and programme uptake.
