As our world urbanizes at an unprecedented pace, young people, particularly in Africa and Asia, are becoming a prominent portion of urban populations. This year's observance will explore ways to actively involve new generations in shaping their urban environments through participatory processes and leadership opportunities at the local level.

Objective: To highlight the essential role of young people in promoting innovative solutions to improve urban mobility and create more sustainable and accessible urban environments, to reduce private car dependency and CO2 emissions.

  • The role of youth to enhance awareness, educate, and encourage society towards active mobility, sustainable urban behavior, and public transport use for all.
