Resolution A/RES/77/317 establishes the 29th of October as the International Day of Care and support. To celebrate this key date SOS Children's Villages and partners are organizing an event to further the conversation, collect good and successful practices, listen to the voices of the constituencies and share new data and policy recommendations with the goals of improving care systems and practices.

Objectives
- Bring together relevant and interested partners to learn and share various aspects regarding the political, economic and social importance of Care and Support policies and systems.
- Present the key findings of the Global Report on Children's Care and Protection 2024: Understanding and Preventing the Separation of Children from their Family as a contribution to the care and support conversation. The findings will be discussed, and policy recommendations will be shared by experts and stakeholders to support policy makers and practitioners' work to set and strengthen rights-based, multisectoral care systems.
- Create a space for decision makers and practitioners to hear the voices and experiences of those affected by or supported through lacking or successful care systems and programs, namely professional and non-remunerated caregivers and care receivers.
