It was established on the knowledge that global goals require local engagement and action to achieve and need to have a local impact to be meaningful. The Local2030 Coalition convenes this Special Event as a contribution to the HLPF processes. The event will gather experts and partners from across sectors to explore how we can enhance multilevel governance that streamlines vertical and horizontal governance systems and fosters coherent policy-making and cohesive action for SDG acceleration from the national to the local level. It will examine how we can enhance multilevel governance structures to fortify coordination and collaboration and expand opportunities for communities and businesses to engage in SDG localization.
