Panel discussion on "The Rights of the Child: Parents, Science and Experience" The event will feature the personal experiences of individuals who have grown up without their mother and/or father, as well the findings of the best available social science on the effect of these new social realities on the development and wellbeing of children, and the need to promote policies to strengthen and protect the family in order to member states to be able to meet their international obligations mentioned in the CRC.
